Baseball Recap: Trinity Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Trinity's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. Everything went their way against the Harrisburg Cougars as Trinity made off with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won nine in a row.

Colton Sprow looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Gavin Myers was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Nick Abner also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Trinity's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average this season. As for Harrisburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trinity is set to face off against their familiar foe Middletown at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Trinity 2.5, Middletown 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Harrisburg will challenge rival Camp Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
