Princess Anne proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 16) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Landstown Eagles 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Walt Clevenger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matthew Metheny, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Rutledge, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Princess Anne's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Landstown, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Princess Anne will challenge Ocean Lakes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dolphins have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Landstown, they will host Bayside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Marlins at the right time seeing as the Marlins are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
