Baseball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Northwest Raiders came up short against the Plaquemine Green Devils and fell 8-4. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

H. Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Batiste, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Plaquemine, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Northwest will face off against St. Edmund at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Plaquemine, they will be playing at home against False River at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
