Basketball Recap: Mekeel Christian Academy Snaps 11-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Mekeel Christian Academy came into Friday's matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 49-36 victory over the Middleburgh Knights on Friday. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Payton Yung and Kaylynn Layton certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Yung posted 14 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Layton dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Layton continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
