Raleigh Christian Academy had won nine straight home games dating back to last season and Emmily Lara Jimenez did her part to make it ten on Tuesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against the Greater Vision Academy Lions as they made off with a 3-0 win with plenty of help from Lara Jimenez, who had 12 aces and four digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last 11 times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-16, 25-9.

Raleigh Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyssa Wagenschutz led the charge by getting 11 kills, three digs, and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Hopkins, who had 17 assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Raleigh Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 14 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Raleigh Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Greater Vision Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Raleigh Christian Academy and Calvary Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greater Vision Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Abundant Life Christian Academy on the 26th.
