Football Recap: Basile Takes a Loss

Basile fell victim to Ville Platte and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Bearcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Basile's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ville Platte, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Basile is taking a road trip to challenge Merryville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Bearcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Ville Platte, they will welcome Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
