While Laney didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past the Midland Valley Mustangs with a 54-48 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Laney has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Midland Valley, they dropped their record down to 7-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
