Raton won the last time they faced Trinidad and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Miners by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Raton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 27-25, 25-21.

Paige Lemons paced Raton's offense, picking up ten kills. Lemons got some help from Addison Medina and her 23 assists. Medina was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Despite the loss, Trinidad still got an impressive performance from Alicia Barron, who had ten digs and two aces.

Raton's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Trinidad, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Raton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Questa on the 4th. As for Trinidad, they will welcome Swallows Charter Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
