Monte Vista had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Mount Miguel Matadors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Thursday.

Antonio Mccomb was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Damian Ordaz, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Monte Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.6.

Monte Vista's record now sits at 8-17. As for Mount Miguel, they dropped their record down to 7-17 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monte Vista will head out to challenge Santana at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Miguel, they will venture away from home to face off against El Cajon Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadors are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
