Effingham had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Monday.

Mckenzie Love paced Effingham's offense, picking up 13 kills. Love got some help from Berkley Pullen and her 34 assists. Pullen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Effingham's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Teutopolis, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-4 record.

Effingham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Carbondale on the 21st. As for Teutopolis, they will challenge Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
