Baseball Game Preview: Eisenhower Eagles vs. Aldine Mustangs

For the second straight game, Eisenhower will face off against Aldine. The Eagles will face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Aldine hit Eisenhower with a five-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

For Aldine's part, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Nunez, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles Nunez has posted since back in March of 2025. Alberto Gonzalez was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Aldine has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Eisenhower, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.
