Centennial hadn't done well against Stillwater recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Ponies. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Ponies last Friday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Aubrie Wirkkala paced Centennial's offense, picking up seven kills. Wirkkala got some help from Chase Manthey and her 15 assists. Elena Hoecke controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Stillwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Centennial has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Champlin Park on the 17th. As for Stillwater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against East Ridge on the 16th.
