Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warren County). They walked away with a 15-11 win over the Forrest Rockets on Tuesday. With that victory, the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.
Tyler Adams was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-5. Keaton Rowe also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Adams wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Warren County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Warren County pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Forrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Looking ahead, Warren County will be playing in front of their home fans against Sequatchie County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Forrest, they will head out to challenge Shelbyville Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
