Baseball Game Preview: Glendora Tartans vs. Claremont Wolfpack

The Glendora Tartans will face off against the Claremont Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Claremont will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Glendora extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Tartans came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Diamond Bar.

Glendora got a great performance from Tanner Grable as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The Tartans are undefeated when Grable allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kai Zeits, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. John Seader was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Claremont, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They skirted past Montebello 3-1.

Claremont let Aiden Leslie and Ramzey Farah run wild. Leslie scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Farah went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Leslie also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Claremont's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-7-1. As for Glendora, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Glendora came up short against Claremont in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 5-1. Can the Tartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
