Basketball Recap: New Jerusalem Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

New Jerusalem Christian Academy won the last time they faced Palm Grove Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the New Jerusalem Christian Academy Eagles' way against the Palm Grove Christian Gators as the New Jerusalem Christian Academy Eagles made off with a 61-35 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Gators are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Jerusalem Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Jayden Middleton, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Middleton. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Stone, who posted eight points.

Palm Grove Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Reece Miller, who had seven points. Jeremiah Pitts was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for New Jerusalem Christian Academy, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.2 points. As for Palm Grove Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

New Jerusalem Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-23 win against Central Baptist Christian on the 6th. As for Palm Grove Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-13 victory against The Classical Academy of Sarasota on the 6th.
