Basketball Recap: The Covenant School Comes Up Short

The Covenant School lost against Blue Ridge back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles took a blow against the Barons, falling 89-25. The Eagles were down 72-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Blue Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Baur Lloyd out in front who posted 17 points. What's more, Lloyd also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Kosi Mgbejiofer was another key player, as he made all 6 shots he took to post 14 points and five rebounds.

The Covenant School's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Blue Ridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, The Covenant School will head out on the road to challenge Seton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blue Ridge, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
