Basketball Recap: Outreach Christian Takes a Loss

Outreach Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by Training Center Christian 65-30. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Training Center Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-27 last Monday.

Outreach Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Davon Gibbs, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Trae Gharst was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 13 blocks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Training Center Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Bryan, who went 9-for-18 to rack up 22 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Bryan a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Creed Lopez, who posted 22 points.

Outreach Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Training Center Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Outreach Christian has already played their next matchup, a 37-31 defeat against Show-Me Christian on the 8th. As for Training Center Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-26 victory against Trinity Christian Academy on the 13th.
