Volleyball Recap: West Caldwell Falls to South Caldwell in First Game of Season

West Caldwell had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the South Caldwell Spartans, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

While West Caldwell ultimately came up short, they really made South Caldwell work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 26-24.

South Caldwell found their leader in sophomore Riley Powell, who had 14 assists and five digs.

West Caldwell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Avery County on the 13th. As for South Caldwell, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Lincoln Charter on the 12th.
