Baseball Recap: Peoria Notre Dame Has No Trouble Against Heyworth

After only two runs in their last contest, Peoria Notre Dame made sure to put some runs up on the board against Heyworth on Saturday. Peoria Notre Dame blew past Heyworth 18-3. The Irish not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2024.

Peoria Notre Dame got a massive performance out of Joe Culp, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryton Blackford, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Peoria Notre Dame now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Heyworth, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Peoria Notre Dame will be playing at home against Brimfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heyworth, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Teresa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
