Catholic put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the University Lab Cubs with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Cubs are ranked 31st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for University Lab, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Catholic will head out on the road to square off against West Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University Lab, they will take on Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Cubs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
