Football Recap: St. Ignatius Falls to Avon in First Game of Season

St. Ignatius had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Avon Eagles, falling 40-14. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Ignatius will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Pickerington North at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Avon, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Glenville at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
