Softball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Clemente, Capistrano Valley Christian was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Calvary Chapel with a sharp 15-3 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Capistrano Valley Christian's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

K Cammarato made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, K Cammarato was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. E Darnell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
