Softball Recap: Aliso Niguel Comes Up Short

Aliso Niguel lost against Mission Viejo back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Diablos by a score of 4-3. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aliso Niguel saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Haugo, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Aliso Niguel's loss dropped their record down to 11-8-1. As for Mission Viejo, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Aliso Niguel will square off against Tesoro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Wolverines' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mission Viejo, they will take on Millikan in a tournament on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Diablos 3.7, the Rams 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
