Softball Recap: Bishop Kenny Takes a Loss

Bishop Kenny lost against Episcopal School of Jacksonville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bishop Kenny Crusaders fell 7-4 to the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles. The loss was the Crusaders' first of the season.

Sophia Mulkey was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Mulkey was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Mulkey wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was McKinley Spencer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Margaux Schuh, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Kenny fell to 2-1. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Bishop Kenny will square off against Atlantic Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they will take on Oakleaf in a tournament on Friday.
