Softball Recap: Aubrey Victorious

Aubrey won against Boswell last Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Aubrey Chaparrals walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Braswell Bengals. The Chaparrals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bengals, too.

Molly Reid spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Abby Lynch-Buxton was incredible, going a perfect3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Aubrey and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Aubrey didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Reedy on the 14th. As for Braswell, they have also already played their next match, a 7-3 defeat against Denison on the 14th.
