Basketball Recap: Sebastopol Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Sebastopol entered their matchup against Leake County on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Sebastopol Bobcats took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leake County Gators. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Leake County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from LaTavean Fortune, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Fortune has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nigel Kincaid, who had eight points along with five assists and four steals.

Sebastopol's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Leake County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sebastopol will head out to square off against Oak Hill Academy at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th. As for Leake County, they will head out on the road to challenge Leake Central at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
