Softball Recap: Vilonia Falls Short of Sheridan in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Vilonia couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Sheridan Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Vilonia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-6 record this season. As for Sheridan, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

Vilonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sheridan, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Beebe on the 17th.
