Basketball Recap: Jayla Santa Cruz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage Academy over Ridgeline Academy

Heritage Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Ridgeline Academy Eagles on Monday, falling 58-33. The Heroes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-14.

Heritage Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayla Santa Cruz, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenia Martin, who posted eight points.
