Football Game Preview: Suwannee Bulldogs vs. Baldwin Indians

The Suwannee Bulldogs will square off against the Baldwin Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Suwannee's defense has only allowed 7.4 points per game this season, so Baldwin's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Suwannee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Jefferson County get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Tigers are ranked 367th).

Meanwhile, Baldwin earned a 7-0 win over Bishop Snyder on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Suwannee better keep an eye on Leighley Cooper. She was instrumental in Baldwin's win, picking up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 88 receiving yards gave Cooper a new career-high.

Baldwin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Breianna Stephens, Symphony Gilbert, and Natalie Ramirez-Cruz picked up one apiece. Stephens also made seven total tackles, which is notable because Baldwin is 2-1 when she posts at least three total tackles, but 4-7 otherwise.

Baldwin's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Suwannee, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
