Baseball Recap: Stevens Triumphs

While Stevens's win against Sturgis wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders skirted past the Scoopers 8-6. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Scoopers: they've now won five in a row.

Stevens let Trevor Schlosser and Tucker Waddell run wild. Schlosser went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Waddell went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave Waddell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conor Konvalin, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Stevens' win bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Stevens is set to square off against their familiar foe Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sturgis will challenge rival Spearfish at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
