The Riverside Prep Silver Knights will head out on the road to  face off against  the Big Bear Bears  at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Riverside Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10  runs per game  this season.
Riverside Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past University Prep 25-1 on Thursday. The  win continues a trend for the Silver Knights in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won eight in a row.
 Thomas Salazar led a balanced Silver Knights bullpen and   tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Salazar is becoming a predictor of Riverside Prep's success: when he allows at  most one  hit the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

 On the hitting side,  Victor Herrera and  Ethyn Beltran did most of the damage at the plate:  Herrera  went 4-for-6 with four  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base, while  Beltran  got on base  in four of his six plate appearances with four  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  runs gave  Beltran a new career-high.  Kaleb Roberts also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
 Riverside Prep  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University Prep struck out 16 times.
Meanwhile, Big Bear hadn't done well against Hesperia Christian recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  12-11  victory over the Patriots. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their two-run performance the  contest before.
 The team  relied heavily on  Kobe Alvarez, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.  Chase Wilson was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Riverside Prep's record now sits at 13-7. As for Big Bear, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record  this season.
Tuesday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Riverside Prep has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .471. However, it's not like Big Bear struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Riverside Prep's way against Big Bear when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, as Riverside Prep made off with  a  10-0 win. Do  the Silver Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
