James River Midlothian posted their closest win since April 18th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Prince George Royals 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Rapids, who have now won three matchups in a row.

James River Midlothian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Grant, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

James River Midlothian's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Prince George, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

James River Midlothian will be playing at home against Midlothian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Rapids surely won't give up without a fight. Prince George does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
