Softball Game Preview: Winnfield Tigers vs. Many Tigers

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Winnfield has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Winnfield is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Mary just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against St. Mary, falling 16-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Winnfield has suffered since February 28th.

Kylee Higgs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Claire Bartlett, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Many). They blew past Red River 22-2 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Many got a massive performance out of Leah Bourque, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Samarie Glynn also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Many's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Winnfield, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1.
