Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeside). They blew past the Riverside Rams, posting a 42-7 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Rams are ranked 211th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jett Winger, who picked up 95 receiving yards and one score. Another signal caller making a difference was Tanner Cummings, who threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Lakeside proved: they limited Riverside to a paltry 1.9 yards per carry. The Eagles' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.9.

Lakeside moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Riverside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
