Softball Game Preview: Springfield Millers vs. Crater Comets

For the second straight game, Springfield will face off against Crater. The Millers will square off against the Comets at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Springfield has struggled recently with 15 defeats in a row, while Crater will arrive with seven straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Springfield's offense. They came up short against Crater on Tuesday, falling 16-0.

Springfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Wobbe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Crater's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.
