Meadville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort LeBoeuf Bison on Friday. The Bulldogs were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Bison in the fourth quarter 8-0.

Tymir Phillips and Jordan Lawrence certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Phillips picked up 84 receiving yards and two TDs, while Lawrence rushed for 134 yards.
