Football Recap: Rye Neck Takes a Loss

Rye Neck was the 34-14 winner over Hastings when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a blow against the Yellow Jackets on Saturday, falling 42-6. The Panthers were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Rye Neck's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hastings, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Rye Neck and Hastings will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers will square off against rival Hendrick Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hastings is set to take on their familiar foe Haldane at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
