Basketball Recap: Honesdale Comes Up Short

Honesdale lost against Dunmore back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Honesdale Hornets took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dunmore Bucks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (57), the Hornets still had to take the loss.

Honesdale now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Dunmore, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-5.

Honesdale and Dunmore could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Honesdale (ranked 336th) will meet Holy Cross (ranked 18th) at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dunmore will square off against Old Forge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday down 118 places (220 vs. 102).
