Softball Game Preview: Midwest Central Raiders vs. Tremont Turks

The Midwest Central Raiders are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Tremont Turks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Midwest Central will be strutting in after a win while Tremont will be coming in after a defeat.

Midwest Central is headed out to face Tremont after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Raiders were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Riverton back in April.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tremont and LeRoy meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Turks lost 15-0 to the Panthers.

Tremont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Parn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Midwest Central suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Tremont in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
