Softball Game Preview: Carlisle Indians vs. Union Grove Lions

For the second straight game, Carlisle will face off against Union Grove. Carlisle will be playing at home against Union Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Carlisle has struggled recently with 23 defeats in a row, while Union Grove will arrive with three straight wins.

Carlisle lost 16-1 to Union Grove on Tuesday.

For Union Grove's part, Olivia Dabreu made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dabreu was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Izzy Gregg was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Jordyn Bishop was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Union Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carlisle only posted a batting average of .000.

Union Grove's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Carlisle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.
