Volleyball Recap: Peninsula Takes a Loss

Peninsula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Lakes Lancers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Seahawks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Peninsula was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lakes' winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-19.

Lakes was led to victory by Jeny Solomua and Elira Blanchard. Solomua had five aces and three digs, while Blanchard had eight digs. Solomua is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 19 every time she's taken the court this season.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lakes, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Peninsula didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Capital on the 18th. As for Lakes, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against North Thurston on the 19th.
