While Royal's win against Moorpark wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Highlanders skirted past the Musketeers 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Highlanders have posted against the Musketeers since April 19, 2022.

Dustin Dunnwoody tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Noah Vasquez and Matthew Stout did most of the damage at the plate: Vasquez went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Stout went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Royal's record is now 15-3. As for Moorpark, their record now sits at 7-7.

Royal will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Musketeers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
