Volleyball Recap: Faith Lutheran Lions vs. Trinity Christian Academy Warriors

After flying high against Grace Covenant Academy last Thursday, Faith Lutheran came back down to earth. The Faith Lutheran Lions lost 3-0 to the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-16.

Faith Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emma Mildred, who had 13 digs.

Cenzie Pyeatt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trinity Christian Academy, getting nine kills, six aces, and 22 assists. Pyeatt is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served five or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rimini Covington, who had ten kills, two aces, and 13 assists.

Faith Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Lutheran will square off against Lakewood Presbyterian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they are on the road again on Thursday to play Dallas Academy at 6:00 p.m.
