Volleyball Recap: Discovery Takes a Loss

Discovery lost against Lake Balboa College Prep back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 17-25, 25-18, 25-9.

Lake Balboa College Prep can attribute much of their success to Lina Matevosyan, who had nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Matevosyan has posted since back in September.

Discovery's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season.

Discovery didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys on the 16th. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Sherman Oaks CES on the 11th.
