Volleyball Recap: Philo Takes a Loss

Philo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the River View Black Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-9.

Chloe Flynn paced Philo's offense, picking up five kills. Flynn got some help from Halli Harris and her ten assists. Flynn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Philo's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for River View, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Philo will venture away from home to face off against West Muskingum at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for River View, they will welcome Indian Valley at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
