Softball Recap: Greensburg Salem Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Greensburg Salem's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Derry Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Golden Lions: when they faced off against the Trojans back in April, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Alle Scarpa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks.

As for Derry, they will be playing at home against Indiana at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Little Indians have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
