Baseball Recap: Neptune Takes a Loss

Neptune lost against Raritan back in April of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Scarlet Fliers fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 4-3.

Neptune saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Bailey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Bailey also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Jack Gamba-Ellis was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Neptune's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Raritan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Neptune will challenge Henry Hudson at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Raritan will be paying especially close attention to the Scarlet Fliers' contest: after the Scarlet Fliers faces off against the Admirals, they'll take on Raritan again at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
