It's playoff time, and Freeport had no trouble coming through when it counted. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pretzels who were credited with the win on Wednesday. The Freeport Pretzels got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to the Belvidere North Blue Thunder's five. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Freeport as it put an end to their five-match losing streak.

Freeport's win bumped their record up to 7-9-2. As for Belvidere North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.
