Softball Recap: Burlingame Comes Up Short

After flying high against Half Moon Bay last Thursday, Burlingame came back down to earth. Burlingame came up short against the Aragon Dons on Tuesday, falling 19-3. The Panthers have struggled against the Dons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Hailey Miller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Madeline Koo also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Even though they lost, Burlingame always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Aragon, their record now sits at 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlingame will head out to take on Hillsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aragon, they will venture away from home to square off against Woodside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodside's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Aragon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
