Softball Preview: Crestwood Comets vs. Tunkhannock Tigers

Crestwood is 0-10 against Tunkhannock since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Comets are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Crestwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Brooke Lenahan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

Tunkhannock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wyoming Valley West only posted a batting average of .263.

Crestwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Tunkhannock, their record now sits at 10-1.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Crestwood has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Tunkhannock struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
